Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series in Bradley Stoke, Gloucestershire for sale
I'm selling my Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Series. Im selling because I have bought a desktop and no longer need this. I have had this laptop since September 2014, it was bought new from Dell. I no longer have boxes or instructions so it is sold as is with the power cable (UK) Specs are as follows (taken from original invoice): Memory: 8GB DDR3L 1600 MHz (8GBx1) Processor: 4th Generation Intel Core i5-4210U processor (3M Cache, up to 2.7 GHz) - runs at 1.7 GHz but can go up to 2.7 GHz with Turbo Boost. Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 840M 2GB DDRL3 Hard Drive: 1TB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive 17.3 inch LED Backlit Display with Truelife and HD+ resolution (1600 x 900) Wireless Driver Windows 8.1 (64Bit) English Tray Load DVD Drive (Reads and writes to DVD/CD) HDMI output 3x USB Ports The laptop will be restored to factory settings once purchased. This will mean that you will receive the laptop "as new" and will be required to set up Windows. Windows will automatically boot from the hard drive and run you through the set up process. It did not come with any recovery media when I purchased it however there is an option to create a CD/USB recovery drive within Windows so you can do this once it is set up. An internet connection will be required to complete the set up and a Windows account will be required, if you do not have one then you can set one up during the set up process. In the interest of full disclosure on the item, when booted an Error occurs (which I have taken a picture of so please view the gallery) which sates "True Color failed to apply the requested settings. Please try again. If the error continues, please re-install the application.". I have looked on the Dell forums and it appears to be a common error on Inspiron machines. The forums say that it requires a re-install of the TrueColor program. I do not see that this error causes any issues with the performance of the machine and I have never used the True Color program before nor know what it does however it is an annoying message! McAffee is installed however you will need to subscribe. If you have any questions for me then please message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
